Traditionally, spatial information needed to be shared using paper maps. Every time there was an update, the maps would need to be re-printed and re-distributed, which was a problem if the information needed to be shared far and wide.
Large quantities of spatial data can be provided using a web mapping technologies. This allows many users to view the same data on the same platform simultaneously from any internet connected computer. Password-based logins ensure data security and confidentiality, and provide for customised access to the web content.
Once their data is published to a webmap, our clients are able to view it from anywhere, interrogate the data and share the maps as needed. The data can be updated or changed quickly on request, and layers can be removed or added. Access to the webmap can be password-protected to keep sensitive information secure.
